Jane Sacchi, spokeswoman for the US State Department announced that the minister, John Kerry was hurt in a simple traffic accident he suffered his motorcade on Monday while on his way to the airport at the end of his visit to India.
Sacchi said in a statement: "During the approach to the airport in Ahmedabad, India, hit two vehicles in the convoy to a simple traffic accident caused some damage to the vehicles."
She added: "The minister Kerry was in the first vehicle did not hurt him or his staff or his bodyguards. Exited the car and the convoy continued on its way to the airport."
She explained Sacchi told reporters aboard the plane Kerry that the minister did not come out of his vehicle, and the vehicle that came out of the convoy was traveling behind him.
Kerry left to India and Pakistan in a surprise visit unannounced.
